2018 · Engineering Internship
During an internship at Shope Concrete Products, the work involved developing technical drawings and CAD models for precast concrete infrastructure components including manholes, catch basins, and pipe systems. Engineering specifications were translated into precise manufacturing drawings that directly guided production workflows for municipal and commercial construction projects throughout the Puget Sound region.
2021 · Product Engineer
Returning to Shope as a Product Engineer, the role expanded to overseeing the development and refinement of detailed shop drawings for a diverse portfolio of concrete infrastructure solutions. This involved close collaboration with production and design teams to optimize drawings for manufacturability while maintaining strict compliance with engineering and industry standards. Technical communication between design and fabrication teams ensured precision at every stage from concept through production.
This progression from technical work to engineering oversight strengthened the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable design solutions and deepened an understanding of how engineered products scale from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
